Peer-Review Procedure
The Editorial Board guarantees independent and objective review of the article in order to determine its scientific value and compliance with publication requirements, and guarantees a transparent review process.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject a manuscript without peer review if it is deemed to be of low quality or does not correspond to the subject of the journal. This decision is made impartially according to the journal editorial policy.
During the review process, the Editorial Board ensures the confidentiality of Authors’ materials and informs Referees about maintaining such confidentiality.
Articles submitted for publication, if they satisfy the requirements of the journal, are generally sent in electronic version to two independent external Referees who are asked to judge the scientific quality and originality of the work as well as its presentation. Leading scientists in a specific field and highly qualified specialists are involved into the review process.
The peer review process is single-blind. This means that the Referees know the Authors, but not vice versa.
Review times currently average about 3 months.
If the article needs to be revised, the manuscript is sent back to the Author with the Referees' comments. After revision, the Author sends the revised version of the article to the Editorial Office, as well as revision requests and responses to be resubmitted to the Referees. The Referees check the corrected version again and provide a new conclusion.
As soon as the Referees recommend the article for publishing, the manuscript is submitted to a meeting of the Editorial Board for approval of the content of the current issue of the journal in which the article is to be published.
